Mark Ritter, CRNA, MSNA

MEDICAL CENTER AT BOWLING GREEN

Mark graduated from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in 1987 with a Master’s Degree in Nurse Anesthesia. Early on, he concentrated on multi-specialty anesthesia while developing a strong desire to pursue cardiovascular service. In 1993, Mark was charged with resurrecting the Bowling Green Medical Center’s cardiac anesthesia program. In 1998, he and his colleagues formed Anesthesia and Pain Specialists of Bowling Green and became one of the first MD/CRNA co-owned groups in the country. Mark has lectured on the performance of perioperative TEE services at the local and state levels. In 2009, he spearheaded his facility’s first ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia acute pain service resulting in its designation as a clinical “Center of Excellence” through Halyard Health, which provides observational regional anesthesia instruction for CRNAs from all over the US. Additionally, Mark has provided regional anesthesia educational courses for the KyANA as well as other private educational entities. Today, Mark continues to serve in a leadership position while remaining at the Bowling Green Medical Center where he’s practiced since 1993.
